A legacy gift (also known as planned giving) to the Oregon Area Food Pantry is a profound way to ensure our mission of fighting hunger continues for future generations, without impacting your current finances.
These thoughtful gifts, often made through a will, trust, or beneficiary designation (like an IRA or life insurance policy), provide long-term stability for the Pantry, allowing us to plan ahead and secure food for our community for years to come. In addition to creating a lasting legacy, many planned giving options offer significant tax benefits for your estate and your heirs.
We encourage you to speak with your estate planner or financial advisor to explore the best gift option that aligns with your financial goals and philanthropic vision.

We’ve created resources to help you multiply your impact on hunger by hosting a food drive! And you don’t need to be part of a large organization to do it. In addition to corporate and large group food drives, many of you have organized drives in your neighborhoods, families, or friend groups. This is also a great family activity for kiddos that aren't old enough yet to volunteer at the pantry, or for high schoolers doing community service hours!
This personal food drive kit is perfect for neighborhoods, families, or friend groups. It includes step by step instructions, a list of the most needed items at the pantry, and an invitation that you can edit and send to your participants (or print and staple to a paper bag left on their doorstep).
We rely heavily on the great work our local businesses and clubs do to support the pantry. Here is all the information you need to host a corporate or large group food drive at your place of work or with your club.
